AGATHA'S PLAYSCHOOL UPDATE: BECOMING INDEPENDENT

Agatha started her playschool journey in July 2025, when she was just 20 months old. Since then, she has been attending playschool every Saturday for two hours, though we occasionally skipped a few weeks for family outings and holidays. 

Tuwing ihahatid ko siya sa loob ng playroom, she would just stand still and observe her surroundings. It would take more or less 10 minutes bago siya mag-warm up and participate in class tapos madalas pa na gusto niyang nasa loob din ako ng room or katabi niya during the activities. May times pa nga na iyak sya ng iyak.

And then one Saturday, paghatid ko sa kanya sa playroom, excited niyang sinalubong ung mga teachers niya, tapos hindi na niya ako nilingon. Waaaa. No more hesitation, no more 'mommy come here'. For the first time, nakatambay lang ako sa labas from start to finish.

It's been four sessions na since she has been comfortable and enjoying the play class without me in the room with her.

I’m so happy and proud to see her becoming independent, making friends, and really enjoying her Saturday playschool.
