AGATHA'S 2ND BIRTHDAY IN BORACAY ISLAND: DAY 1 🎉

When I chanced upon a piso fare sale going to Boracay last year (yes, last year pa), I immediately booked the flight since we weren't planning to host a big party for our daughter's 2nd birthday anyway. I thought, why not just splurge on family vacations and make fun memories together diba? I'm glad naintindihan ni dadi Cy ung point ko and he let me plan everything.

I've been to Boracay a few times before but this flight felt extra special because we are travelling with our daughter and it's her first plane ride. It's even more exciting because she can now explore on her own and she enjoys almost any food. Marunong na ngang mag-request ng pagkain at activities.

Akala ko Agatha would be scared especially during takeoff but nope, she was just chill while flipping through the magazines or buckling and unbuckling her seatbelt the entire flight (check out the videos at the end of this blog). Sana all hindi kinakabahan kapag nakasakay sa eroplano. Ako? Overthinking every movement and sound from the aircraft, and constantly praying we'd have a safe flight.

In less than an hour, we reached Caticlan Airport which is the nearest one to Boracay. Dati kasi we fly to Kalibo and it would take us around two hours by land to reach the port. Ngayon sasakay lang kami ng tricycle.

After paying the fees and a quick boat transfer, we finally reached Boracay Island! Glad that it was a beautiful sunny day kaya feel na feel ko ang bakasyon with my little family.

Last step was to ride an e-trike going to Station 2 tapos naglakad na kami papuntang Le Soleil de Boracay where we'd be staying for 4 days and 3 nights.

There are newer accommodations in Boracay but I opted to stay at Le Soleil simply because I wanted a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Mga mababait na foreigners and mostly families with kids ung mga nakasabay namin. It's also a beachfront hotel located at Station 2 at malapit sa D'Mall.

They upgraded our room to Premier, so instead of 1 double bed and 1 single bed, we got a larger room with 2 queen size beds and a spacious balcony near the swimming pool. Daily Breakfast is also included in our accommodation.

We rested for a bit then dadi Cy suggested na mag swimming nalang sa pool tutal maliligo din naman kami para ma freshen up sa dami ng ganap buong araw. Padilim na nito kaya hindi na muna kami pumunta sa dagat. Agatha was so happy kasi nakapagbabad agad sya sa tubig.

We ordered food from the in-house restaurant instead of going out para magkasabay na ung swimming at kain. Haha. We had sinigang na liempo and chicken nachos which were both good lalo na ung nachos.

Pagkatapos namin kumain, we stayed and played a bit more in the water. May mga nakalutang na mga bulaklak sa tubig galing sa katabing halaman kaya we collected the floating flowers just like what we did at Villa Escudero. It’s one of Agatha’s favorite activities kapag nasa swimming pool.

After magshower at magbihis, we strolled around para maghanap ng dessert. Gusto ko sana subukan ung sikat na Mango Mama in Boracay but we saw HaloMango first kaya we gave it a try. We already let Agatha eat what we eat in moderation and she absolutely enjoyed the ice cream.

Naglakad-lakad din kami sa D'Mall, an open-air shopping and dining plaza in Boracay, tapos nadaanan namin ung maliit na basketball shooting game. Of course dadi Cy had to try it.

We explored further sa D'Mall then saw so many cute bracelets kaya napabili ako.

And that's our first day in Boracay. :)
