EMBRACING CHAOS
Bago ako naging nanay, I prided myself on always keeping our house neat and tidy, at hindi ako umaalis na magulo ang bahay.
Ngayon, keber. Kung ano lang ung kinaya kong gawin, so be it. The clutter can wait. Ang mahalaga I get to take care and spend time with my daughter.
Kahit maya't maya magkalat ng mga laruan si Agatha, okay lang. I don't see the point of nagging a toddler for being messy. We can always model naman the behavior we want them to copy and eventually that will teach them to clean up.
At bilang isang little explorer, anything she sees fascinates her. Ung trolley ng groceries sa kusina, ung water dispenser, mga kung anu-anong gamit that are within her reach. It's easier to just say 'no', pero minsan mas okay din na you take time to see from their perspective. Curious sila eh. Imagine being born without any idea how the world works. We are here to guide them and to let them experience life, even the most mundane ones. Basta they're safe and away from danger.
Minsan nakaka-frustrate kapag inaayawan nya ung pagkain. Sabi nga ni doc, if she doesn't like certain food, just keep offering until magustuhan nya. There are also ways to offer meals that will make it seem enjoyable for her kaya diskarteng malala. Haha.
Ibang level ang motherhood! Bukod sa never-ending cycle of housework, andyan din ung mga errands and regular checkup sa pedia. Ang daming kelangang gawin at asikasuhin, tapos I'm mentally occupied pa. Isama mo pa ung anxiety. Tinutulungan naman ako ni husband sa mga gawaing bahay at sya din madalas namimili ng mga groceries, pero iba pa din ung workload ko in terms of managing the household dahil stay-at-home mom ako. Fortunately hindi ko naman problema ung financial aspect because my husband is a good provider.

Raising my daughter is physically, emotionally, and mentally hard work, but watching her grow and become her own person is incredibly rewarding.
I will always be grateful to be her mom. :)
