MY 38TH BIRTHDAY: STAYCATION IN AZURE 🎉
Tatlumpu't walong taon na akong nabubuhay sa mundo. Will I be fortunate enough to live four decades more? Fingers crossed!
For my 38th birthday, we stayed in a rental condo at Azure Urban Resort Residences in Paranaque. Usually pag out of town, naghahanap ako ng pwedeng puntahan na beach resort o kaya campsite pero nung nakita ko sa reels ung mga staycation places, na realized ko na oo nga no. Why not mag stay nalang kami sa isang rental condo in a bustling city this year?
The unit has a functional kitchen with complete utensils but I didn't want to cook. Gusto ko lang mag order ng food, manood ng movie, at makipaglaro kay Agatha. Sa bahay kasi nonstop ung household chores kaya ito na treat ko sa sarili ko on my birthday.
Bumili ako ng ilang snacks & drinks (ung Crispy Patata naiwan sa kotse). I also bought jarred baby purees for Agatha kasi minsan hindi nya bet ung mga table food.
By the way, daddy Cy surprised me at home before our staycation. Ginising nya ako around 12 midnight, hawak nya ung favorite kong Triple Chocolate Cake from Angel's Pizza tapos may bitbit syang flower bouquet na may mga nakasiksik na wantawsan. May pa-kandila pa sya. Ang sweeeeeet. (◍•á´—•◍).
Cy ordered pizza and pasta for merienda. One thing that's really convenient kapag nasa city is yung food delivery kasi sobrang daming choices at ang lalapit lang nila. Sa Tagaytay kasi mahal ang service fee dahil malayo kami sa halos lahat ng mga restaurants and cafes.
After merienda, Agatha took a nap tapos nanood lang kami ng Dungeons & Dragons on Netflix, a family-friendly movie.
Our room was located on the 19th floor. Sanay naman ako mag-stay sa matataas na building lalo na nung nagtrabaho ako in Manila pero iba pala pakiramdam pag nasa balcony ka, nakakatakot. Nanginig tuhod ko. Tapos andami kong naiisip like what if mangyari ung 'The Big One' during our stay? What if magkaron ng sunog? Hay.
For dinner, we wanted biryani. Yung nabilhan namin via delivery app ang mura nya pero the serving ng roasted chicken and the taste panalo. Hindi rin kami nabitin sa sauce. Nagsisi lang ako na hindi kami nag-add ng extra basmati rice.
We let Agatha watched her favorite show after dinner tapos maya maya pinatulog ko na pero ayaw nya. Gusto nya ikutin buong kwarto. Siguro kasi mas aware na sya when she's in a new environment kaya excited. Ayan tuloy, late na sya nakatulog kaya napuyat kami.
The following day, habang tulog pa si daddy Cy at Agatha, ako naman bumaba sa building para kunin ung mga inorder kong kape at almusal via Grab app. We had chicken and pork adobo silog. Ung hinahanap kong lasa sa adobo na tadtad ng toasted garlic nakuha nila. Bagay na bagay sa sangag. Iced Spanish latte and hot flat white from Pickup Cofffee were okay for its price.
Around 9 AM nagpunta na kami sa wave pool and manmade beach. We paid 250 persos per head. For some reason, hindi natuwa si Agatha. lol. Baka daw nilalamig o kaya naman dahil hindi ako kasama sa tubig. Hehe.
Kelangan kasing magpalit ng damit after mag swimming dahil bawal ang nakasuot ng basang damit sa lobby. Ayan tuloy tinamad ako. Dagdag oras pa un, eh medyo malayo building namin. Baka mabitin kami sa oras kasi maliligo pa kami pagbalik sa unit at magliligpit. Pero regardless of some minor inconveniences, I am grateful that I get to spend my birthday with my little family and to live another year.
