SHORT STORY: LULU

Lilly and Lulu met through a friend a few years ago. They both joined a pottery class and enjoyed making things with clay, but their personalities were very different. Lulu loved to be the center of attention and always seemed to be talking about herself. Lilly was quieter and preferred to listen.

 

Sometimes Lulu would be warm and friendly, but other times, Lulu would act cold and distant, which made Lilly feel confused. 

 

Lilly tried to understand why Lulu acted this way. She wondered if perhaps Lulu was going through a difficult time in her own life. 

 

But Lilly didn't want to be with someone who was hot and cold as it was too much for her. She decided to stop trying to be friends with Lulu. It was hard for her to be around someone who acted differently all the time. She still went to pottery class, but she didn't talk to Lulu unless Lulu started the conversation. If Lulu didn't say anything, Lilly would just ignore her.

 

In the end, Lilly found peace in her decision. Lulu continued seeking attention but didn't bother Lilly anymore. They both found their own ways to be happy.
