SAGADA 2024: DAY ONE
It's our third time visiting Sagada, pero ngayon we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights kaya we were able to explore some of the most popular destinations in this part of Mountain Province, at itong pagbalik namin kasama na si baby Agatha. We were also with my in-laws and some family friends.
From Baguio narating namin ang Sagada via Halsema Highway. Nahilo ako sa byahe! Ang hirap nung liko-liko na nga ang daan tapos sasabayan pa ng pag aasikaso ng baby sa loob ng sasakyan. Kakaloka.
We stayed at Sagada Homestay Inn located in the town proper. Meron silang sariling parking lot, restaurant with mini sari-sari store, and an outdoor area for socializing and bonfires.

Dahil limited lang ung mga kwarto nila na good for two people na may sariling bathroom, we shared a room nalang with my parents-in-law. Meron syang two twin size beds priced at 2,400 per night. May kasama ng bath towels, shampoo, soap and one toilet roll. The room is not air conditioned, wala din electric fan. Bintana lang ang bubuksan para pumasok ang hangin.
Pagkatapos namin mailagay mga gamit sa kwarto nagpunta kami ni Cy sa reception area to pay the remainder of our booking fee. Ms Karen, not sure if she's the owner, recommended a tour guide para sa mga balak naming puntahan in Sagada. She also provided us a sheet of paper that we needed to fill out with our names para ibigay sa Tourist Information Center.
Sunod naming pinuntahan ung Tourist Information Center ng Sagada just few meters away from where we were staying to register our names and pay fees (100 pesos each) dahil kelangan naming ipakita ung receipt sa mga pupuntahan naming lugar in Sagada the next day.
They gave us a hard copy of the places we can visit and explore in Sagada. Kasama sa papel kung gaano kalayo ang lugar at kung ilang oras ang lakad/trek, tour guide fee and shuttle fee. The schedule will depend on the agreement between you and the tour guide.
Pabalik sa inn nadaanan namin ung isa sa mga kilalang restaurants in Sagada: the Log Cabin. Pumasok kami saglit para tignan ung menu nila. Napabili tuloy ako ng Dirty Matcha Latte. Nakahiligan ko mag matcha simula nung pinagtimpla ako ni Yen, my sister-in-law, ng iced matcha drink sa bahay nila in Laguna.
It's not easy to travel with our baby but the memories we create along the way make it all worth it. Iba ung level ng saya when I see my daughter experiencing new places.

Ang usapan we'll meet with our tour guide whom Ms Karen recommended to us during merienda pero lahat sila nasa kwarto nagpapahinga. Kumain nalang kami ni Cy ng pancit tapos kinagabihan nalang pumunta si kuya Willis, the tour guide, habang kumakain lahat ng dinner and discussed alin mga pupuntahan kinabukasan at kung anong oras mag uumpisa. Hindi ako naka-join sa discussion nila kasi I was breastfeeding Agatha. The whole group agreed to take the Echo Valley Walking Tour the next day.
Kahulihan na akong kumain ng hapunan. I had sinigang na salmon and yogurt with fresh fruits. Yogurt is very common in Sagada tulad din ng lemon pies.
