2023 IN PROGRESS: THE UNEXPECTED PLOT TWIST!
2023 started like the previous years: kaming dalawa ni Cy, our dogs, at mga planong gawin at puntahan ng taon na to. Ang naiba lang is we both decided na magpa-IUI (intrauterine insemination) this year kasi we've been married for 6 years already tapos 36 years old na ako.

Tumawid kami ng dagat para ikutin ang Mindoro. I was excited kasi nakasakay na ulit ako ng roro tapos two-day adventure pa sya. We started our Mindoro Loop sa Calapan City until we reached Apo Reef Club in Occidental Mindoro. Doon kami natulog. Had boodle fight with Cy's fellow riders in the evening with their OBRs and then the next afternoon we left to finish the loop. It was one of my most memorable trips as an OBR (official back rider).

My friend Tin who I also call 'mars' is getting married in April. Napaka thoughtful ng kaibigan kong to kaya as her Matron of Honor I booked an overnight stay sa isang exclusive resort in Matabungkay to bond with her. Nakilala ko tong si mars nung nagtrabaho ako sa Cognizant in 2011. We were batchmates, and I've witnessed her flourish at work. Ngayon SDM na sya tapos kakasal pa. So proud of her. :)

Nag-overnight car camp kami in Calatagan to celebrate Valentine's Day. This was a week after we had our IUI procedure. Pag uwi pa nga namin neto nag attempt akong magsulat sa blog na baka buntis na ako kasi ang dalas kong umihi pero I eventually discarded the blog draft thinking na imposibleng makabuo kami sa unang attempt ng IUI kasi based sa research ko 7%-10% lang success rate nya every cycle.

I was supposed to wait one more day para mag-pregnancy test pero dahil excited ako I tried testing. I wasn't really expecting naman na magiging successful ung first attempt namin ng IUI but to my surpise I got faint positive sa dalawang pregnancy test kits. I remember so well ung pakiramdam nung unti-unting lumilitaw ung second line kahit malabo sya. Waaaaaa.

At almost 6 weeks pregnant our OB gave me the go signal na magpa-transvaginal ultrasound. I was so nervous papunta ng clinic but it turns out may fetal hearbeat na si baby. Cy announced on his Facebook na we are finally pregnant.

Mars and AJ got married! Baby naman next? Hihi. Sa sarap ng pagkain sa kasal nila inuwi ko ung mga tira ko. Hehehe

My nephew Daxton celebrated his birthday at Cala Laiya in Batangas. Hindi nakasama parents namin ni Martin kasi may ginagawang treatment kay mama.

We found out na we're having a girl! Sobrang saya namin kasi both grandparents parehong lalaki ang apo, and I have a future bestie na makakasundo ko sa halos lahat ng bagay like shopping, food trip, coffee dates, books, mga ganern. Hopefully nga makasundo ko sya sa mga ganung bagay. Pero kahit iba trip nya I will always support her.

Went to Bolinao, Pangasinan with the in-laws. Nag stay kami sa Puerto del Sol then nagpunta sa mga tourist attractions the next day tulad ng Bolinao Lighthouse and the Enchanted Cave. Gusto ko din sana puntahan mga falls pero hindi pumayag si Cy kasi buntis ako. Anyways, nag enjoy kaming kumain ng mga seafood like crabs.

Since our dogs shed too much, ginawan namin sila ng separate shelter. We made sure na may enough space sila to play, walk, jump or run. Gawa sa concrete ung bubong nila (except sa canopy) para hindi sila mainitan pag tirik ang araw. Thankful ako kay husband na he was willing to spend para sa maayos na tirahan ng mga aso namin. We love our dogs pero hindi na talaga keri na kasama namin sila sa loob ng bahay.

We celebrated Cy's birthday at Tagaytay Highlands Spa and Lodge. Finally, nagamit namin ung voucher na binigay samin ng mama nya. Nakapag relax kaming mag-asawa.

It was my dream to go to a Baby Fair kaya when Baby Company announced another baby fair sa Rockwell, Makati pumunta talaga kami. We bought playpen, infant car seat and stroller from Looping.

We saw our baby's face thru 3D and 4D ultrasound. We were beyond grateful na healthy ang baby namin. The clinic printed our chosen photos tapos pag bumili ka ng frame sa kanila, sila na din maglalagay.

I had a labor scare at 33 weeks. Di naman red bleeding but brown pero may kadamihan kaya I had to be monitored sa hospital for two days. After nito naka bed rest ako sa bahay for almost two weeks. Si Cy nagluluto ng almusal, tanghalian at hapunan. Inasikaso nya talaga ako. Thank you my husband. :)
