BALER, AURORA 2022: PART TWO

Maaga kaming nag checkout sa Nalu Surf Camp the next day para makadaan sa mga tourist spots in Aurora bago bumalik ng Tagaytay.

Our first stop was Museo de Baler. We used the SEDF (Sustainable Tourism Development Fee) na binayaran namin on our first day here.

So five years after the death of Aurora Quezon's husband, she and her daughter “Baby” were assassinated while they were en route to open a hospital in Baler. Kakalungkot.

The province was named after her.

Anyways, pagkatapos sa Museo de Baler naglakad naman kami papuntang ancestral house nya na walking distance lang from the museum.

We also used the SEDF para makapasok sa ancestral house nina Doña Aurora. It looks like a typical Filipino home nung unang panahon. Simple but full of charm.

We went to the church next which was just across the street.

Baler Church was the site of the “Siege of Baler". You can watch the movie "Baler" for reference.

Pagkatapos sa simbahan nag drive naman kami papuntang Zabali Hanging Bridge, another popular tourist spot in Baler.

I thought I would be scared pero masarap sya tawirin. Ang ganda ng view sa lahat ng anggulo, malinis ang paligid at tahimik.

A kid approached us, kuhanan daw nya kami ng pictures. Wala naman silang hinihinging certain amount kapalit ng serbisyo nila kaya bahala na kayo sa tip.

Uminom lang kami ng buko juice bago umalis tapos naghanap na ng makakainan for lunch.

at Yolly's Ihaw-Ihaw & Seafood Resto

We tried Yolly's Ihaw-Ihaw & Seafood Resto. We paid 200 pesos each for the eat-all-you-can. Madaming ganitong kainan dito sa Baler. We tried another buffet nung unang araw namin dito (Picnic Bay) pero I prefer Yolly's. Siguro nagkataon lang din na weekday kami nagpunta kaya hindi gaanong okay ung experince namin dun. Sa Yolly's kasi madaming tao kaya ung pagkain halos lahat bagong luto.

 Akala ko kasama ung lobster and shrimp pero hindi pala. Umasa yarn. Hahaha! 

Cy and Me

Masasarap naman ung mga ulam. Adobo, Bicol Express, Calamares, etc. Sayang lang ung Dinakdakan hindi na namin naabutan sa tagal maluto ng next batch. Yung suka nila na binebenta din ang sarap! Sayang di kami nag-uwi. 

Balete Tree (Millenium Tree)

Our last stop was the 600-year old Balete Tree in Maria Aurora, Aurora. Sa picture or videos mukhang sakto lang pero sa personal it looked amazing! Sa laki at lawak nito pwede kang pumasok sa loob ng puno at tumambay. 

Bago umuwi pwede kayong makabili ng mga pasalubong dito tulad ng suman at pakumbo.
