WEEK 05 | EVERYDAY 2020

We woke up to bad news that the famous American professional basketball player Kobe Bryant and his daughter along with the other passengers died in a helicopter crash. T_T Haaaaay. Umpisa palang ng 2020, ang dami ng masasamang balita.

Anyhow, Cy cooked sinangag for our breakfast.

I skipped lunch and bought Takoyaki in Olivarez, Tagaytay.

I dropped by UNO Factory Outlet before going home.

I will buy this divided plate for future summer outings para may lalagyan ako ng sawsawan.

I bought a soft bathroom mat for only P99 and throw pillow covers for P49 each.

New throw pillow cover.

My husband who's hard to please when it comes to other cuisines liked the Takoyaki.

We got to swim in the sea today!

I took a photo of the Taal volcano on our way home. I felt sad for Taal because it looks so lonely, like it never really wanted to cause any trouble. You're still a magnificent creation of God and I hope to see your greeneries flourish again one day.

For dinner, I cooked my favorite adobong patatas while Cy bought inihaw.

It was an absolutely wonderful day!
I woke up a bit late, but I managed to be productive all day.

Washed the bed linens.

Our kittens are great cockroach hunters. Every single morning we find at least 2 dead cockroaches, sometimes even 4! They also like to bring dry leaves on our balcony to play with.

Keep it up, kitties!

I also started pot gardening again since I'm a full-time stay-at-home wife now. I planted eggplant, okra, siling green, siling labuyo, and tomatoes. I hope they'll all grow.

I moved the pots near our living room door so I can easily water them.

Excited!

Cy bought shrimps from Kuya Kenneth earlier that day, and I cooked it for dinner. I'll also buy tahong next time and cook them altogether.

One of my specialties. Ask my husband.

For today's breakfast, I cooked eggplant fries.

Yuuuum!

I was supposed to accompany my husband to his meeting with some of the entrepreneurs here in Tagaytay, but I decided to just stay home and do the remaining household chores. When he got back home and left again with his motorcycle to go to QC, I drove to Mahogany Public Market to buy vegetables.

I also bought potted herbs like Parsley and Sweet Basil. They were sold for only P50 per piece. I also bought green pots and the vendor was kind enough to transfer the plants to the new pots and added more soil to it. Thank you talaga, ate! :)

What should I buy next?

My baby parsley and baby sweet basil at home. I think the green pots look nice.

My father gave me spinach/alugbati seeds last year. I planted them before and they grew really nicely, but I kind of neglected them when my dog transferred to the same balcony. I also gave away the seeds. Only one tiny alugbati plant was left on my long rectangular pot and I wanted to have two more! Glad that I got a hold of spinach seeds from a local grocery store. I just love the earthy flavor of spinach.

More spinach!

I also dropped by Daiso to buy face masks as there's already one confirmed case of Novel Coronavirus here in the Philippines. Prevention is definitely better than cure. T_T

I gave the other box to my parents-in-law

This was such a happy day because my friend, Shiela, passed her final interview! She'll be signing a job offer tomorrow night. I felt like I was the one who got hired (excitement overload)!!!! She was unemployed for 5 months to fulfill a dream which I will not disclose here, and now she's back to work! Good luck my dear friend!
I cooked scrambled eggs for breakfast. I put chopped siling green (without the seeds), chopped bell pepper, and chopped basil leaves to it. Ang sarap, try nyo!

I also served sliced watermelon for a refreshing morning. :D

I went with Cy to his office because Ycel, his cousin and staff, celebrated her birthday today. We bought her a cake from Goldilocks.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YCEL! :)

We went home past 8 pm as Cy needed to sleep early for his Quezon ride tomorrow.
I woke up late today because Cy went to Quezon for a motorcycle ride. I cooked eggless tortang talong for lunch and painted our gate afterwards.

Here's the little old gate. The old black paint was peeling off.

The new color is the same color as our house exterior, silver gray.

I ran out of spray paint, so I quickly went out to buy another container of spray paint and even dropped by the grocery store to buy the ingredients for my onion rings.

I found a vegetable broth! I'll use this for my future sopas.

I also purchased the Nestea Cranberry Red Tea.

Favorite ko na to!

Onion rings ingredients except the cornstarch.

My onion rings! :)

In the evening, I took an exam for a part-time non-voice home-based work, and I passed it! I'll start on Monday. We'll see. Cy came home at around 7 pm.

The weather has been really cold. Sarap matulog!
I cooked bulanglang for breakfast and Cy left in the afternoon to go to work. Anyways, here's the photo of our repainted gate.

From black to silver gray.

Since there was leftover garlic dip from last night when I made onion rings, I cooked potato croquettes. I didn't use meat, just deseeded chillis and bell pepper. My husband liked it!

Hello, February! SOBRANG LAMIIIIG!
