TAAL VOLCANO ERUPTION

All my plans changed this week because Taal volcano suddenly erupted on the afternoon of January 12, 2020. I was planning to get a haircut the following day before buying some more stuff for Cy's new office. Unfortunately, all we did this week was to clean the entire venue my husband manages.

The short clip below shows the smoke coming out of the Taal volcano as seen from outside our house in Tagaytay last Sunday.

I didn't really realize the effect of this unforeseen Phreatic eruption until the next day when we went to Cy's office to check it out. It spewed ashes to some areas in Silang and even to some places in Laguna and Manila. 

Nawalan kami ng kuryente that night. 

Buti nalang meron making N95 masks na nakatago sa bahay. Wala din tigil ang pag-lindol kaya sa baba muna kami ng bahay tumambay with our neighbors.

Maaga kaming bumangon the next morning then pumunta kami agad sa office ni Cy to check the situation. We were really surprised sa nakita namin. From Olivarez, Tagaytay to Silang ang kapal ng mga putik. It was my first time to witness the effect of a volcano's eruption.

It seemed impossible to clean. Almost all establishments temporarily closed as they had to do some serious cleaning. We were also closed for ocular visits all week.

Namili agad kami ni Cy ng mga gamit to clean the entire venue. Buti nalang bukas ang Wilcon Depot in Silang that day. 

Pati mga bata tumulong na din sa paglilinis. 

Wala pa rin kaming kuryente pag-uwi namin sa bahay pero buti nalang bumalik na ang supply ng tubig. 

Nakakatakot matulog kasi walang tigil ang pag-lindol.

The next day nakita na naming nililinis ang mga poste ng kuryente.

Sobrang busy pa din sa venue. Everyday kasama ako ni Cy sa office then nagdadala kami ng merienda for all the staff and people who were helping to clean. Niluto ko na din lahat ng mga pagkain namin na nasa freezer dahil wala parin ilaw.

After a week, binisita ako ng friend ko and she even helped us.

Ilang weddings din ang canceled because of what happened.
