WEEK 46 | EVERYDAY 2019

It was my papa's birthday today. We couldn't go, so I just called him early in the morning to greet him a happy birthday. He usually spends his birthday drinking with his buddies and we'll see each other very soon anyway. My sister-in-law, Yen, sent me a picture of his cake. :)

Anyhow, Cy cooked tomato omelet for breakfast.

We left before noon to buy some items at Wilcon before heading to his office, but made a quick stopover at Ayala Malls Serin to withdraw some money and buy medicine for his cold. Of course, I bought milk tea from Gong Cha. Hehe

Milk Tea with Pearl Jelly. Only P95.

at Wilcon Depot (Silang, Cavite)

Tomorrow would be the early Christmas party of the wedding vendors here in Tagaytay and we're participating at the occasion. The theme is going to be Movie Night, so every company will be representing a film through costumes. We chose Pitch Perfect 3 and I thought it'd be so much better to have mic props.

Spray painting the handles black.

Cy was supposed to do it but they were all busy at work, so I just had to. I think I did great.

Today was a good day because Cy just sent out 4 contracts to our new clients.

Busy much!

Our late lunch.

We had dinner with my mother-in-law and Kuya Jeff's family at Sis Ems' Bulalo along Santa Rosa–Tagaytay Road.

Cy and I were supposed to shop for groceries after dinner, but my mother-in-law was traveling with us and she needed to be home quickly for her house service massage.

I put the final touches on our props when we arrived home.

Done!

I was also able to get my nails done!
Tomorrow's going to be an exciting day!
Today was the Tagaytay wedding vendors' Christmas party at The Pulo Events Place! Cy bought a stainless grill stand along the road on our way to his office which was made from San Pablo, Laguna.

It took him long to decide.

We got at his office, everyone was busy, something had to be bought and I volunteered, so I rewarded my self a Kona Mocha frappe from Dough Knead Cafe. They have a drive-thru kaya convenient. :)

Gising!

The party started later that day! We were dressed as The Bellas from the movie Pitch Perfect 3.

The free cocktails completed my night.

During the fireworks display.

Our company participated in the parade which showcased different movie costumes.

I also won a notepad at the raffle. :)

Thanks much! :)

The program finished past 1 AM. It was fun!

Let me tell you a story. So almost two weeks ago, I brought our bedsheets to a laundry shop. I was told to pick it up after 2-3 days, but we got really busy during those times and my husband and I went to Pangasinan to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. My husband asked his mom to get our laundry instead and handed her our receipt. We later found out that somebody else picked up our laundry, so yes they were all gone. T_T

I called their admin today and they told me what happened. The attendant said someone claimed my laundry during a stormy weather and insisted that she lost the receipt. There was no CCTV kaya di namin alam kung sino ba yun. The admin assured me that they'd pay for it, but the payment will be deducted from the attendant's salary, so my husband and I have decided to dismiss it. Mistakes happen and we all learn from it. Hopefully, they will improve their system. Mahal din kaya ang bedsheets tapos ung iba regalo pa nung kasal namin. Huhu.

ANYWAYS.... we left home before noon. We went to a medical clinic with my mother-in-law to have their throats checked by a physician as they both have a sore throat. The doctor prescribed mouthwash and antibiotics.

Cy and I ate lunch at a Japanese Restaurant in Olivarez.

@ Zushi Me Lake View

Classic Tantanmen. I loved the subtle peanut flavor.

California Maki, Cy's favorite.

Red Iced Tea.

Cy eating his tori katsu.

Omurice!

I love the flavor of the sauce on top of the omelet. However, the fried rice which has corns tasted too overwhelming for me. Anyways,  I want to make my own version of omurice at home. :)

We went to Cy's office to get our cellphone chargers, then we were supposed to shop for groceries but we spent our money buying a crate for our pet Ice as we wanted to transfer him to our opposite balcony.

Finally!

The crate will only be his sleeping area during hot weather and rainy days. He will still roam around freely in our balcony.

I also put insulation foam under his roof because I wanted to make sure he's comfortable.

Done!

His new home overlooking the road.

Finally, we can put our chairs and table back to our front door balcony and I don't need to regularly brush the floor where he used to poop and pee every day. Haaaay! At ang pinaka-importante sa lahat, our families, friends, and relatives can go upstairs and visit us! :)
My grocery day! Sa wakas! I went to Walter Mart, Ayala Malls Serin after lunch.

Nakakauhaw mamili.

Here were some of the items I bought.

Mingming's collar from Daiso Japan.

Salted Egg Mushroom Chicharon

Ever since Kuya Jeff gave us mushroom chicharon pasalubong, it has become my favorite.

Hopefully, these are delicious.

For Cy's chicken. Maybe I'll also try this one on cauliflower or talong.

For the salmon belly I bought.

Gulay from Mahogany market.

My current menu:
- meatless kare-kare
- meatless sopas
- tortang talong
- fried tilapia with fried talong
- sinigang na salmon belly with miso
- sinigang na baboy
- spicy fried chicken
- chicken and potato curry
- chicken karaage
- bangus belly steak
- tofu sisig
I cooked meatless sopas! Cy went to KYMCO Taguig for an oil change, so I ate breakfast alone.

For dinner, I cooked tofu sisig.

Incomplete without the mayonnaise.

I harvested two siling green from our potted plants.

Weekend na naman! I was very productive. Yey! I went to Cy's office later that day because he forgot his antibiotic, then headed to a carwash shop.

Malinis na ulit!

I dropped by at Cecilia's pasalubong shop. They're selling my favorite pastillas from San Miguel, Bulacan, but I didn't buy any. hehe. I was craving for something else.

At last, I was able to buy a Cheese Pie. This one tastes like Caramel Bar from Max's restaurant.

soft, moist, and cheesy on top.

My dinner was fried lumpiang togue I bought from All About Goto, Tagaytay.

Cy came home late from work.
Cy cooked our breakfast, but I forgot to take a photo of it. He prepared fried talong and fried daing na bangus.

Coffee and cheese pie.

I was completely in rest mode all afternoon when Cy called asking me to bring the fresh bed linens to his office. He also wanted Jollibee Chicken Joy and palabok.

At the drive-thru.

Cy was talking with his clients when I arrived at his office, so I just left right away since I wasn't able to buy food for my self anyway. Ycel, her mother-in-law, and daughter Nicole rode with me to Ayala Malls Serin. After I dropped them off, I drove straight to Mahogany Market to buy okra and gabi for my sinigang. I also bought mangoes, panutsa, and plastic containers for my gelatin. I was so hungry I ate Pringles and orange juice in the car before leaving the market.

My late lunch. :D

My favorite: panutsa!

I cooked Sinigang for dinner. Mine was all veggies, no meat.

After doing the dishes, I made my creamy gelatin with ripe mangoes.

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 Liters water
- 3 250g sachets Mr Gulaman
- 1 560g condensed milk
- 1 380g evaporated milk
- 1 250ml Nestle all purpose cream
- chopped ripe mangoes

The result will be on my next blog post.

Goodbye, week 46! :)
