PACK LIGHT

Going to places with my husband is one of the things I'm always excited about. It's not just the travel itself, but also the preparation beforehand. We choose which bags to bring, what clothes to pack, we deliberate if bringing spare slippers is even necessary, I make a list of toiletries we should buy at 711,  and I convince him to buy snacks for the trip. We even argue about how we'll fit all the stuff we're bringing inside our bags while he repeatedly says, "Hon, pack light lang!" as if it's going to ever happen. lol!

On Thursday, we'll be traveling to Buscalan in Tinglayan. The approximate travel time from Manila is 12 hours with few stopovers I guess. Having experienced a joiner trip to Camarines Sur almost two years ago, we now know the travel essentials we should bring for long trips in a van.

At Matukad Island, Caramoan. :)

Here are my tips based on our previous trip to Caramoan. :)
  • Ask the tour operator how many people are seated per row in the van. You should feel really comfortable especially for long trips.
  • Bring a neck pillow so you can sleep soundly.
  • Bring a jacket, or a sarong, or a small blanket.
  • Bring a bottle of water. :)
  • Bring some snacks. :)
  • Bring a headphone and your iPod, or install the Spotify app on your mobile phone. It will not only entertain you, but it can also reduce the sound of loud snoring from your fellow passengers.
  • Don't forget to bring Bonamine with you. I don't usually get dizzy during trips, but when I do, it's really annoying.
  • Bring some medicines for headaches, LBM and if you can, bring your first-aid kit.
  • Fully recharge your power banks and don't forget to bring them!
  • Wear comfy clothes.
  • Don't consume caffeinated drinks if you're prone to frequent urination due to caffeine like me. T_T
  • Lastly, pray for safety and enjoy the ride. Appreciate the sceneries. ^^
Since we both love to collect stuff we use for travel, we went to SM City Dasmarinas to buy some "travel essentials". Hehe

Our new Hawk bag!

We have a larger Hawk backpack but it's slightly damaged so we bought a new one. A little smaller this time. UPDATE: We've checked our old Hawk bag and the damage is not even obvious. lol!!!! We named them HAWK SR (the old one) and HAWK JR (the new one). We justified our decision by discussing that some travels require a large bag and some only require a small one.

Our HAWK SR. We love you! :)

Anyways, Cy bought me my own pink backpack just in case we need extra. I'm sooo going to use this on Thursday, needed or not needed. :D

Pink bag from Hawk!!!

We also bought new neck pillows. They ran out of black and gray colors, so we got the same shades.

Neck pillows with extra neck support from Midio at Serin, Tagaytay.
These neck pillows feel much more comfortable than the standard ones.

We also bought a small gray fleece blanket instead of sarong so we could fit in it while we sleep during the ride. :)

GOOD NIGHT!!!!!
