OUR STORY ♥️

Once upon a time, a common friend of mine and Cy introduced us together. I was working in Ortigas as back office support in a BPO company. Cy was then working in a real estate company. I was born and raised in Makati while Cy grew up in Tagaytay.

We became a couple in 2012. We were a bit of a long-distance couple. It was hard at first. He used to work on weekends while I was always free on weekends. Monday was his only day off and I needed to go back to work every Monday night.

We used to meet every Sunday night. I'd drive our old family car to either Festival Mall or Nuvali and Cy would meet me there after his work in Sta Rosa. We would drink coffee together, watch movies, eat dinner, and whatnots. We would sometimes take short vacations. We've been to White Beach, Puerto Galera twice!

I remember him always mentioning his dream of having his own small hotel or a simple resort. Fast forward to 2019, he's now successfully managing his events place. Good job, hon! Your mother trusted you and you did not disappoint. Keep it up! :)

Anyways, back to my story. Cy resigned from his work in 2014 (not sure of the year lol) He had been jobless until they built the events place. By the way, we used to save money together, P5,000 per month. When he left his job, we stopped saving money and spent it all. I remember withdrawing a portion of our savings for our anniversary in Matabungkay. I still remember the ATM along the hway of Nasugbu. Hehehe.

Since he was no longer working, we've decided that I'd stay at their house during weekends. We've agreed to see each other every other weekend and then it became every weekend when we were already planning our wedding. Cy did not propose. He just casually asked me over the phone. Hmp!

In November 2016, we got married. We had so many guests. I cried a lot.

We spent our honeymoon in Boracay.

For a few months after the wedding, our usual routine was I leave Tagaytay every Monday and go back every Saturday morning until I've decided to quit my 6-year job in Ortigas. I left last April 2017. In a span of one year, I tried 4 jobs. I became a receptionist, a real estate agent,  a call center agent at TaskUs (Imus) and Kgb (Sta Rosa). I finally found another job in Alfonso and stayed there for 8 months until I hated the place (I liked my colleagues, they were great!) By the way, while I was still working in my last company, Cy and I moved into our own house. I am so lucky to have a husband who grants my wishes. :)

The following month after my resignation, I found a home-based work. I became an online ESL tutor and still is until now. :) I used to dream of becoming a housewife and it came true! Sometimes I get really bored and sad, but maybe that's just how it is. You can't be too happy all the time. We've been married for almost 3 years. We'll be turning 3 in November and we don't have a baby yet. Hehe. Let's just wait. I thought it'd be easy. lol! Right now, all we can do is have fun! We both love to go everywhere and we love to eat! :)

Married life is not easy. I have my daily mood swings and Cy has his own quirks, too. There are some expectations that are not met or we sometimes disappoint one another. Our marriage has always been a work in progres. At the end of the day, you love and fight for each other. You are forever partners in richer or poorer, in sickness and in health.

I wish we'd grow old together. Cheers!!!
