SUNDAY SHORTBREAD COOKIES WITH ROYAL ICING
So today I tried to make another shortbread cookies. This recipe only requires BUTTER, SUGAR (confectioners) and FLOUR! I also experimented on Royal Icing.
Maybe I'll replace a portion of all purpose flour with a rice flour. They say it'll make the cookie more crumbly.
I bought the food coloring at SweetCraft Baking and Confectionery Supplies in Mandaluyong. |
1/2 cup confectioners sugar, 1 cup of room temperature butter, 2 cups all purpose flour |
Cream the butter, add the sugar and 1 tbsp Vanilla extract. Yung mumurahin lang na vanilla ginamit ko. I saw a PURE VANILLA extract sa Sweetcraft baking store and it costs P250.00 tapos ang liit-liit lang. Siguro next time na ako bibili nun!
After the mixrture is creamy and smooth, add the flour! |
Sabi sa ibang recipe, you can actually use your hands to mix them. |
FINALLY! AN OVEN THERMOMETER. See, now I have an idea kung na-reached na ba nya yung desired temperature. The thermometer is kinda costly pero worth it! |
Butterfly shaped shortbread cookies! |
With PURPLE ROYAL ICING! |
