PANGASINAN 2019: ALAMINOS & BOLINAO
I had been planning our 3rd wedding anniversary trip to Pangasinan. My original itinerary consisted of visiting the Hundred Islands in Alaminos followed by a trip to Bolinao the next day.
DAY 1
Since we slept really late the night before as we attended an event in Manila, we weren't able to leave early as planned. I had to iron some clothes, fed our pets, made sure everything was tidy before leaving home. I don't want to come back to a messy home after vacation.
Our departure time: 9 AM.
I have always loved going on road trips with my husband and I felt like a kid going on an excursion again.😋
We had our breakfast along the way.
We were behind schedule due to the heavy traffic in SLEX and EDSA.
Coffee along NLEX.
Deciding which route to take.
It was almost 8 pm when we reached Alaminos City, Pangasinan. It was dark and drizzling and we were already hungry, so we stopped at Eliana's Resto Grill before heading to Bolo Beach.

We ordered mixed seafood sinigang and nilasing na hipon.
We enjoyed this one!
We were worried about the rugged road going to Bolo beach, so we just decided to go straight to Lucap Wharf which is the main jumping-off point for the Hundred Islands boat tour. I didn't book any hotel or resort in advance because it was a weekday anyway.
Island Tropic Hotel and Restaurant is just across Lucap Wharf, so you might want to consider this establishment should you make a trip to Hundred Islands.

While filling out the form, I asked about the earliest time we could leave for the tour the next day, but we were informed that it might get canceled again due to Severe Tropical Storm Quiel, worse luck!

After checking in to our room, we had some snacks at the restaurant.

We then checked out the wharf before going back to our lodge.
I woke at 6 AM to check the dock. Unfortunately, it was totally canceled that day due to gale warning.

We ate breakfast and left at 9 AM to head to Bolinao.

Bye, Alaminos!
There were still light showers and the sky was gloomy, but I was on a joyride with my dear husband kaya happy happy pa din! :)
Bolinao is less than an hour away from Alaminos. We looked for a resort near Patar beach and fell in love with Puerto del Sol!

While waiting to check-in at 1 pm, we ate lunch at Cafe del Sol inside the resort which has a classic and cozy vibe.

The room was bright, snuggly, and clean.
basic toiletries
Instead of free bottled water which was also present in the room but with a fee, they provided a pitcher of purified water because it's environmental-friendly. I definitely approve!
After unpacking our bags, we went to the shore and checked out the entire resort! We were greeted by a dog outside our room. He's being taken care of in the resort and he seemed used to mingling with people.
Such a good boy!
There were huge waves beyond the breakwater. Amazing!

We spent the rest of the afternoon swimming in the infinity pool.

It was so nice to be able to just chill with my husband and talk about our lives and our dreams.
In the evening, we opted to dine at a seafood restaurant nearby. We ordered the Mangunguna Grilled Bilao with grilled sungayan or unicorn fish.
Pinaka-sulit na bilaong natikman ko.
It was raining again, so we spent our evening watching TV and drinking coffee.
DAY 3
As usual, I woke early. I hate wasting my vacation time in bed.
GOOD MORNING!
Cy was still asleep, so I strolled along the shore. It was absolutely tranquil and the sound of waves from afar was soothing to my soul.
Cy was finally ready at 7:30. We ate our free breakfast at La Playa overlooking the sea.
The background is too exposed.
My cup of joe.
We spent our morning in the pool. Uminit na nga.
We checked out an hour early. Mamimiss ko to!
We were given a loyalty card before we left. Someday, we'll be back with our kids. CHAR!
We were supposed to eat at Sungayan Grill but we were still full from our breakfast.
Buying watermelons.
We purchased bagoong and boneless dried sapsap.
tupig
I also wanted to buy puto Calasiao as pasalubong, but we took the other route going to Tarlac. Wala kaming nabiling pasalubong!
Ate our late lunch at Dampa sa Tarlac in Tarlac, obviously. Hehehe
We reached NLEX around 6 PM. Nogs was on coding until 8 pm kaya tumambay muna kami sa Krispy Kreme along NLEX.
I love their cappuccino!
Reading! :)
It took us 2 hours from C5 exit to Alabang. Grabe yon!
Pulang pula ang mga daan!
We got home at 2 AM.
HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY TO US! :)
